| Adding lights to my 94 z50
I am looking into a stator to run lights on my 94 z50. I found a used stator on this site off of a china bike for $45 bones. I am told this will fit my bike, and i do believe him, but does anyone have any recomendations or suggestions for me before i buy this? My goal is to have a head light and tail light on my bike, so i can chase down chickens in the middle of the night. thanks |

I would price a honda stator. To run lights you will need a different wiring harness too. One on ebay for a ZB that would work nice. tmas |

Ok, I am starting to wonder if accepting a cheese nip based salary was such a good idea...

Is this the one you are talking about? I don't plan on running blinkers if that makes a differnce. eBay Motors: HONDA ZB50 1988 CDI ,COIL & WIRING (item 170116285809 end time Jun-02-07 16:42:46 PDT) Oh and caddy lights would go great with my bull horns mounted on my front fender...

Portland... That is the one and it looks complete. I remember reading a while back in a thread you can get something that will work from Honda. The same guy is selling the zb motor too. $200. The zb motor would fit your bike and the harness would connect right up. tmas |

crap, this is going to cost me more then i originally thought. POOH! also, that thing looks like a big spaghetti mess. I do really like spaghetti, but if i get a head ache trying to hook this puppy all up, no more cheese nips for you. in fact, no cheese PERIOD! |

You could trim off what you do not need. There is a few extra components on the zb harness such as signal relay, voltage regulator and they are mounted on a steel bracket. I think the pic on ebay makes it seem bigger than it really is. tmas

That harness would also make it much easier for you to wire in a back light too. With the zb harness you could get a zb right perch and easily wire in the HI LO headlight switch that would fit your bars. Front headlight hook up would be easy too, it is already wired for it. tmas |

Oh i thought someone had told me that i would need the voltage regulator. Well you know what? My b-day is monday. Maybe my chica will buy this for me! But just to be clear, i buy this harness dealie, a stator, and lights, and thats it right? I don't need a Flux capacitor do I? |

Ok, i sent the e-bay listing to the old lady. Lets hope she buys it for me. If anyone else on this site has a stator and or lights for my bike, please let me know. I am quite wealthy in cheese nip currency.
