| Advice on CT70's for possible purchase
So I'm in Southern California for the next 3 weeks, Huntinton Beach to be more specific. Long story short, I am working from home but have no mode of transportation until the girlfriend comes back from work on her 1hour commute around 7pm. So I got this brilliant idea today of maybe picking up a rolling CT70 to put around town in for the next 3weeks. I just need a little lunch getter since the nearest store is around 3-4miles away. What is the prince range I should expect to be getting these things at fully running and street plated? I found a few ranging from $800 to $1600. It would be great if I could find one for around $500-$800 but thats probably being too optimistic. The $800 one I saw isn't currently registered with the DMV, so what kind of work am I looking at get something like that registered and plated? Keep in mind I only have 3weeks in so cal. Also, I found a rolling chassis complete minus the motor for a very good deal. But no title, and bill of sale only. What motors drop into the CT70s? <--- goes off to read search results for CT70. LOL |

id jump on the ones that are running and plated but they will be over a grand. a 12v 50 engine will work, but u have to change over all the electrical to 12v. ur gunna have to pay to play in such a short notice. dmv would be a hassle since ur out of state. | |

Well I'm not out of state, I'm just in So cal vs. Nor Cal. Well I guess I can keep my eyes out for decent deals. I'm kinda tempted now to buy that rolling chassis one and bring it home with me for a future project but of course I'm getting ahead of myself again. |

OK well I read through about 20pages of CT70 search results last night and I think I now have a better understanding of what I could possibly be getting myself into. I still want a CT70 but also wanted to build a Honda Ruckus as well. Decisions decisions. I have a lead on one right now that I've been keeping my eye on so if I can get a decent deal on it, I may have a CT70 by the middle of this week. Now I need one of my friends to fed ex me my helmets. LOL |
