aftermarket frames.

does anyone make an aftermarket frame for an '86 Z50?
also will the stock forks off of a brand new 50 fit on the Z?

There are 10-15 aftermarket Z50 frames in Japan, and Fast50's makes one here in the USA.

yeah, i saw the fast 50's one.

company names for those Japanese frames?

got the 50 for free, engine runs strong. but frame, forks, swinger and everything else you can think of is complete crap.

i have a pretty much complete 78z50a parts bike, including a very nice frame and swingarm. pm me if you need anything

How about G-craft's new Z50 Monkey Frame? You'll find no better available in the world, but will pay dearly for it. Probably close to $1800-1900 after shipping.

I have that frame in the CRF version. I'm hoping I can get just the sub-frame portion from G-craft. If not we'll have to fabricate one. I really want to build a monkeybike with that frame. It's a beautifull peice. Another option is to run a CRF style swinger and just fab the tank and fender mounts.

They don't sell just the subframe portion. I've asked the question previously.
