any value in this??

since i got a new china motor for my Z build i was wondering if there's any value in the old motor that came out of it ( along with a spare parts motor)??? one is a 72 and the other (the bad one) is a 78

they are both 6v points motors one is in great shape and is complete except for gaskets and seals..the other motor is strictly a parts motor and has one tooth missing off 2nd gear and the kicker is welded on..; both motors ran before i tore them apart to make one solid motor and to stroke it and convert it to a 12v ..but it was scrapped because i was able to get the chinker for less than rebuilding the one into a 90cc stroker (70 piston and jug with a 52mm crank)

i can post pics if anyone wants, but i'm just kinda feeling outif there's a value to them at all.. if not i'll put them back together as stock 50cc'ers and make a generator for use at the track out of them

The 72' motor isn't worth anymore than $100-$125 while the 'bad' 78' motor is probably worth around $50-$75 depending on what is missing.

Re: any value in this??

I don't know what it's worth. I tried selling 86 z50 engine up here for $150 shipped and nobody even acted interested. Thing is I saw an 88cc engine that the guy said didn't run and he knew something was broken internally that sold for over $400.
I just said the heck w/ it and put my motor on Ebay today. I'll take whatever I can get for it. Just watch my auction and I guess that will tell you what one is worth.

Re: any value in this??

I sold a stock running "real" z50 engine with carb, air cleaner and side cover on e-bay last week for $150. I turned around and bought a 140cc engine for $300. China is really screwing things up...
