My Mood: | anything good about a stock panda motor?
I recently picked up a 2004 plated panda off of here. i put about 1 mile on it before i pulled it back into the shop and pulled the stock motor. I replaced it with a 120cc motor out of my sikk mx bike. i have a feeling this motor isnt going to last very long or is going to give me a ton of problems. So i was curious if the factory panda motor is worth doing anything with. it only has 33 total miles on the bike and motor, it ran strong. The small carb sucked but im sure it just needed to be cleaned. Or should i just find a stock honda motor and build up. any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

I have two of these and was wondering if the ignition setup (6 volt CDI) might fit on an early Honda? At least that would use up some of the parts. I was planning on upgrading the motors in the Pandas, however, they both start on the first kick and run really well. Both have a couple hundred miles on the odometers. Might make good motors to build some one off type projects like maybe a motorized skateboard or something. I saw one of those on the board. |
