get a bigger carb for your 125 also talk to terry about an akunar piston they will add serious compression. and maybe a cam would be nice but, only if you get the bigger carb will the cam be any good.

You might be geared low. Try a 15t counter sprocket. 11 is way small.

Even my stock 50 would run out of gear with 11/37, I bet. Did you at least pull some 3rd-gear wheelies and shame the little twerp that way? I hope so. Have you no self-respect? |

Post is not as interesting as the title would suggest.

Give some realistic thought to what most of your riding terrain is like before you choose sprocket sizes. Look at the gear ratio calculator here in the Tech sticky. Your motor could probably pull 16/34 just fine, but if you want to ride rougher terrain you may want a lower overall ratio in first than tall final drive gears like that will give you. If you ride on open terrain or the street, it won't matter much, maybe. I ride a lot on farm pasture with deep livestock footprints baked into it, plus I'm heavy, plus I only have about 2 hp, so a low first gear is pretty essential for me even at the expense of top speed. If I geared it up for more speed, even if I had the power to pull it easily, I'd find my bike less useful most of the time when I need to go slow around the farm.
