| Brake shoes... are they all the same?
My '78 needs new shoes. I found these on eBay from DrATV. Does anyone have any experience with them? I don't need anything special, and would really like to get away with spending as little as possible.

hmmm. it doesn't say if they are kitaco shoes or what, but i have heard good things about the kitaco ones. They are normally the ones with grooves in them. I'd say buy em, i dont' think you're going to go wrong either way with them

Yea I don't think these really have a name. If I could get OE's for that price, I would, but sadly my local dealer wants $19 per set. I can get these for both ends for the same amount, shipped, and that includes springs. The really sad thing is that this will be my third order from DrATV in almost as many weeks. |

go for it then if the price is right for you. think about what else you might need as a couple buck saved from shippin in the end will be worth it.

Yeah. They'll fit your bike. And the price is not bad at all. Shoes from 68 to 79 are all the same. Then from 1980-current CRF's the shoes are all the same.

so are you saying the 80's and up Z's have the same shoes as a CRF? i didn't know thye made the drums that small on a Z. if they do i need to score a pic of the hub with the brake drum off so i can see if my CRF disk setup might have a chance of fitting on some 8'' rims ( even if i have to do some custom work) | |

Umm, if nobody beats me to it, I'll take my wheels off tomorrow just for you and snap some pictures. Yeah. I'm that bored over the summer.
