If you don't have pics try telling us what it looks like! What kind of welder did you use to make this? How does it work?(bolts where, holds on to what) Is it already drilled and tapped? Does it come the hardware? Are they painted? Eight dollars is not a lot for something handmade. Figure it will take you an hour to make just one and then you have to drive to the post office and ship it(driving to the nearest post office finding a parking place waiting in line and mailing it wil take 15 -30 mins)then you have material cost and the time driving and picking it up. So far you have 1-2 hours into building just one, sure you could cut that in half if you make a bunch and ship them all at the same time. But you are not making any money, even if your are just making them and getting enough to cover the parts you are paying out of your pocket. Time is money. That is why handmade parts are so expensive, and also why everything is made in China. Put up some pics when you have a chance. I say chrome them and sell em for 150 bucks each, people will pay that if you get there name on there. Just kidding. |

Where did you learn to tig weld? That is pretty good for a 14 year old to know how to tig weld! We have a couple mig welders that I am good at but I haven't gotten a tig welder yet because of the price. Can't belive your cousin just gave you one!!
