| Buy a chinese engine or built a factory honda engine?
So, Superness talked me into keeping my bike (jincheng jc50q) and now I have the money to start working on it. First I want to upgrade the engine but my question is, if budget is an issue, should I buy a lifan 140cc or build an 80cc engine or what, if a 140cc lifan is the best route for being on a budget, should I get the 4 up or 1 down 3 up? I had read that the 1 down 3 up had problems with the transmissons.... Second question is if I want to put just a front disc brake on my bike, I could just buy a crf 50 front end and just run a skinnier tire without any issues right? I'm pretty sure that I can but just double checking, thanks. |

If you get a lifan 140 try to get a 4 up, they are much easyer to get into neutral. If you are going with the lifan you are also going to get in trouble with the tire hitting the cylinderhead so you may want to extend your front forks... |
