| carb help bike runs like crap!
i have a ahp 114 motor and a tb 24mm carb and have yet to get the carb dialed in. it seems like no matter what i do it pukes gas out the bottom and now sputters from the bottom to the top. i tried putting a bigger main but that didnt work and the fact that its spitting fuel out the overflow makes me think its getting plenty of gas. i am so frustrated with this thing im ready to throw it out and get a new one. i feel like i could get a 20mm to run better than this junk carb. please help anyone have any ideas?

the float is not set properly or the float valve is stuck. sani Last edited by sanigene; 05-24-2007 at 07:51 PM. |

how do you set the float on these carbs i have never had to set one. i knew this would probably fix the overflow issue but what about the sputtering |

ur float could be the sputerin too. don't know the exact spec on how to set the float other than trial n error. Cuz if she is pourin out even when ur on the gas it could also be floodin the motor makin it miss fire. Just keep bumpin the float down till it stops comin out the over flow. And check the needle on the float is it a plastic tip or brass. Make sure it is real smooth
