Carb idiot question

I just bought a lifan 110cc for my bike and it came with a sheng wey pz19 carb. However i'm really confused because it comes with a petcock that is mounted near the bottom of the float bowl and the fuel intake points down. Is this supposed to be installed sideways, or whats going on here?

Thanks

Re: Carb idiot question

as you can see the carb fuel line intake kind of points downward. Another question, I assume that the tube near the top is the breather line correct?

Re: Carb idiot question

Is a carb for ct/st/dax. Low internal tank without petcock and the fuel line comes out of the frame just above the engine.

edit: with a cable operated choke.

ok thanks, is there a way to make this work with my z50? I guess I just don't see how the fuel will go into the carb with the current set up I have.

Re: Carb idiot question

Why not, just leave the petcock of the carb open? (and a maybe a longer fuel line needed)

Simple, gravity, then the siphoning action up the main jet (think cup spray gun) as the air passes threw the carb intake when the needle is raised.
