| CDI kit and a stroker crank?
Hello, Anyone ever do this on a stock 6volt CT70 case, 4 speed? DrATVs ad says the stock 4 speed flywheel must be used, but I wonder if the rotating assembly could be balanced at a machine shop.

I have this cdi: CDI_CONVERSION_KIT FOR_FOUR_SPEED TRANNY_MODELS (400073) with this crank: 52MM_STROKER_CRANK (CT70'S_CHECK_APP.) (ATC70_1978_TO_1985) (200002) It works fine, and they say something about some grinding to be done, but I didn't have to do any. |

Did you check the balance or just run it?

No, I didn't check the balance. I think these parts are supposed to work ok together without balancing. I have used it about 500 street miles last summer. For next summer i'll check if the flywheel can be lightened a little bit. In fact it isn't wery heavy even now; points type centrifugal advance flywheel was about 1200 grams, this is about 900 grams (sorry, wrong units for you). They were weighted, but I can't find the exact numbers now.
