Ok well i am going to be building a "old school" 50. I have 1 main question, will a '73? i think ct70 swing arm and shocks fit on my 70's? z50? the z50 has shocks and a foot brake and i got it at one of the local flea markets. i would like to use z50 wheels also. also if i did the swing arm and shocks would it raise the rear end up a whole bunch of would he be about normal?? thanks any imput would be great. tyler |

Swing arms are completely different in how they mount. Not interchangeable. CT70 Arm: ![]() Z50 swingarm (on the bottom) ![]() The CT mounts between two spots on the frame, and an the Z50, the swingarm has the two spots and fits around the frame. |

The longer swingarm would be an xr75 swingarm. This is 4" longer than stock and can be made to fit with some light mods.

If your looking for great ideas Honda50.com has galleries of thousands of custom minis from around the world. Check the custom monkeys section for tons of different swingarms people have modded their bikes with. There is a great aftermarket scene overseas and plenty of parts availble. Honda50.com has tons of info on the newest parts on the market and some great tech tips and resources.

you can get them pretty cheap on ebay and for shocks you can use your ct70 shocks

Another angle of the bike. ![]() To make it fit you need to cut 3/16" off the inside of both mounting tabs. ![]() Then you need to weld a brake stop. |

thanks. i might jsut buy one off ebay. there is one for 25 buy it now. for a 1976 i think. is it worth it ride wise and suspension wise?

Makes the bike handle a lot better in my opinion. The longer wheelbase makes the bike a lot more stable.
