Will a head kit from TB for an xr50/70 crf50 work on a ct70 engine? Are all of these Honda motors the same? Has anyone increased there disp. to 88cc on a ct70 and what kind of results did you see? |

It depends what year CT70 you have. No matter what year it is you can put and 88 kit on. But only certain years will accept CRF style kits. Post up the year or VIN.

Wouldn't it already have the big valve head?

Not the, but a. The head has larger valves compared to some heads. However it would have a journal cam. There is no significant power difference between journal and bearing cams, but piece of mind is a factor. I greatly prefer the TB head. It has larger cooling fins, larger ports and valves, bearing cam, and it was designed for use with the 88cc kits. Hopefully someone will let us know what year CT's will take the CRF kits and which ones require different kits. I'm almost positive however that a 1971 CT will not take the CRF kits. |
