| ct 70 fuel lines question
Hi , I have some ct 70 starting problems, which lead me to think about the 2 fuel lines. What happens when they are reversed? its a 72 , just on and off. why does it use 2 lines as opposed to the z50 petcock that just stops the fuel flow from the one line? - Reebo |

Well, I'll field this one. there is a reserve ( I guess I didn't look closely enough ) Where were you guyes on that one? - kidding Here's another question. Same (friend's CT70 ) one of the exhaust bolts was totally stripped , therefore the exhaust is only half bolted on , with prob a substantial leak. Would you expect the bike to not start easily because of this ? |

If you mean the bolt at the head for the exhaust, they are just a little threaded rod. Why not back it out and replace to eliminiate it as a suspect. I think it will make you run lean which I don't care to do. I would guess the exhaust leak would cause jetting problems but should still start the same. Have the valves been adjusted?

Yes thats the bolt , and it needs to be tapped first, and will definately be fixed, just wondering about the starting. the valves need to be adjusted too. Did the ct70 come with some sort of exhaust gasket like the z50 ? |
