Every year we take our CT70's out when we vacation in the mountains. Ride them all through the fire roads. The CT's we have are street legal so you can take them anywhere. They make for a great trail ride. Super comfy and reliable. They are great bikes for what they are intended for. Trail riding. Build on! |

Like Dirt track'n said. CT70's were built for trail riding. I had one growing up from 10 years old until I graduated and now 20 years later, I went and bought another and fully restored it. A blast to ride and can take a beating.

I purchased a CT70 from a guy about 9 years ago and turned it into a full-blown Off Road trail bike. I put on an ST90 front end suspension and a 17" front tire. I put a 14" big dirt tire on the rear with the ST90 rear wheel and swingarm. ATV 5" rise handlebars. A cammed and ported 75cc motor with 20mm carb and supertrapp exhaust. That thing was hammered every time I took it out. 40 miles at a clip in some of the harshest stuff I could throw at it...deep mud, creek crossings, sand, coal refuse, hill climbs...it survived it all. The only thing I can say is that the seat pan ended up being totally destroyed and the rims had some dents in them. I even would do small jumps with this thing....maybe 1-2 feet total air. The frame never did bend and as a matter of fact, it was taken by my buddy and completely restored and named "Franky" after once being a frankenbike.
