I believe it will..... but the CT has a 6 volt system and the GPX is a 12 volt CDI system. If you want lights to work you will have to install a lightning coil on the GPX motor. You willl have to get a new wiring harness with it that has the CDI, voltage regulator ect. plugs. tmas |

right, i knew that the older one was a 6volt. do you know where or who i can get a new wiring harness with a cdi, volt reg etc. from? a gpx seems like a pretty good way to go, most chinese engines already have the stuff for electric too. |

yeah pretty much. i want that motor or a lifan, and i was looking at a friend of mines china motor and it has the 5 wires that come out of the case (ground and other wires for lights) so i figure i can get one of those and bolt it on? are the CRF and chinese ignitions such as that on a GPX interchangable? |

i will when i get home, its in need of some love for sure. i got the motor idea sorter out. im going to go with a Jailing and a high comp piston and cam in it. My next dilemma is getting the lights to work with a 12 volt motor, who has done this? what problems am i going to run into and what parts am i going to need and who and where can i get them from? once again, convertine 6 volt stuff to 12 volt. |

You are going to have to lower the footpegs so they don't hit the cases. Use spacers. You'll need to convert all your bulbs to 12V, you'll have to run a 12V battery, coil and voltage regulator. Dratv has some information on the conversion. there will be little snags here and there, but with some patience and a good set of wiring diagrams, you'll work through it. Dan |

My Mood: | Everything you need. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LIFAN...mZ150096747297 This includes all the lights (front, rear, blinkers), engine electrics, headlight shell, speedo, horn, keys, handlebar controls, etc, etc, etc. Good seller too. I got one of these for my upcoming conversion, as i already had the motor. Really hard to beat for the price. |

| d0n, Here is a pic of a CT70 front hub/brake panel, and the speedo cable threads into the hole just to the right of the front axle in the pic. |

I can give it a test-fit on a CRF70 front wheel, d0n, and get back you with the results.

Thanks! dont kill yourself. I'm curious though. It would be cool to have a speedo on my dirtbike. There must be more to it. Maybe a gear inside on the ct axle?

d0n, The CT70 hub isn't compatible with the CRF70 wheel I have here, it wouldn't work at all. It appears as though the cable is driven by a worm gear inside the brake panel itself, and there is a ring-type gear with drive pins on it, the CT hub engages that, and turns the worm gear.
