| CT70 Build With Some Questions
Well I have had a CT70 in my garage for quite some time now. It used to run but not any more. I am planning on making it into a fun build. I will not be making it original but more aftermarket stuff. I also would like to make this bike street legal to save some gas money. Is there any way to get it registered as a 50cc so that its considered a moped instead of a motorcycle? I am only 17 so I would have to wait for just under a year to be able to drive it on the street if I cant register it as a moped. Were do you guys get your aftermarket parts from? The only good solid after market places that I can find are all over seas and I cant figure out how much stuff costs. I am planing on taking it down to the frame and repainting it. First thing I would probably do would get some street tires (were from?). From what I can see its the same honda motor that they have been running for years and mine is lookign pretty bad and I would liek a 3 up shift pattern so my plan was to get a crf motor and slap it in there and bore it. Any problems with this? WIll the Crf50 footpeg mount fit on the ct because I have a spare with some pegs that I would like to run on it but maybe not. Also is there an aftermarket clamp for the stock forks so that I can run a MX style bar lol? Any help on any of this would be a great help to me cause Im not new to bikes just new to these older bike projects. Thanks

My Mood: | Re: CT70 Build With Some Questions
you'll have to put a lighting stator into the crf motor and if your ct is a 6volt you'll have to change everything over to 12 for the crf. what kind of budget do you have for your build? parts from japan are the only way to go. save up and do it right the first time around. but that's just my advise |
