CT70 Head Gasket on a Z50A

Will it work, or do I have to get one specifically for the z50 (stock 50 head, jug and piston)? Not the cost that bothers me, going to the dealer is inconveniant.

Thanks,

Rob.

You will lose a small amount of compression with the 47mm (70cc) gasket. I'd take up fatcaaat's offer if he's talking about a 39mm (50cc) gasket.

Re: CT70 Head Gasket on a Z50A

Well, seems the gasket offered by fatcaaat won't work out

Is it just me or is this karma giving me all the reason I need to throw a CT70 top end on my engine?

My cyl and rings will need freshening up anyway for my z50 top end... why not make the jump to big block territory?

What do you need to make an CT70 OEM cylinder and piston work on a Z50? Do you have to swap on a CT70 head as well?

Re: CT70 Head Gasket on a Z50A

If you use the CT70 piston you need the CT70 head also. Or you can buy one of the two pistons I linked to and use the CT70 jug with the stock Z50 cylinder head.

If you have a short rod Z50 buy this:
47MM_PISTON_KIT (OLD_50_DOME) OR (NEW_70_DOME) (SHORT_ROD) (SHORT_CYLINDER) (100020)

If you have a long rod Z50 buy this:
47MM_PISTON_KIT (NEW_50_DOME) (LONG_ROD) (SHORT_CYLINDER) (100045)
