CT70 wheels questions...

Hey guys, inquiring for a friend...

Do CT70 wheels use Z50 hubs? My friend was thinking about getting some Kitaco or G-craft rims and didn't know if he could re-use his CT70 hubs on them. Also, do CT70's use the same wheel spacing as Z50s?

Re: CT70 wheels questions...

CT has 10 inch wheels , Z50's have 8 inch wheels. A CT uses the same back sprocket as the ZB so I would say they are different. ZB hubs and Z hubs are not the same. I would also think the wheel spacing is different too.

He was looking into aftermarket 10" Kitaco and 10" or 12" G-craft wheels. I guess I can just give him one of my hubs and have him try swapping them.

They don't interchange.

I think for the G Craft or Kitaco ten or twelve inch wheels you need to use the older style Z four bolt hubs to fit the wheels.

You can run G-craft hoops that bolt onto the CT70 hubs.

2.5", 2.75", 3.5" and 4.00" available.

I'll have a very slightly used 3.5" rim with a 120/70/10 tire available here in about 30 days that will bolt right onto a CT70 hub.

To use the G-craft hoops with the Z50 or Monkey Hubs, you have to run the center spacers (8 hole, Ninja, CT70 style)

Takegawa has recently released 12" hoops for dax/ct hubs. $$

You know I just re-read my question and I think I mixed up the question... lol.

I meant to ask if CT70 hubs fit Z50 (kitaco wheel havles or g-craft) rims...

Thanks Dan, so if he runs G-craft hoops, he dosen't need the g-craft center piece correct? He can just use the stock CT70 hubs with the stock CT70 center piece?

Which hoops costs less? Takegawa or G-craft?

If your buddy has CT70 hubs, then he can run G-craft hoops with no adapters but not standard or aftermarket Z50 split 4 hole rims.

The takegawa 12" wheels are not only more expensive then the 10" G-craft hoops, but don't fit a standard swingarm unless you run Falcon 100/65/12 tires that are over $170 a tire and are rim busters.

I have a set of falcons on my CT and while they are great to look at, if you hit a pothole, you'll be buying a new rim.

If you want to run bigger tires then the 100/65/12's, you'll be running an aftermarket extended swingarm.

Thanks Dan, I'll ask him if he's interested on your used set and email you.

I don't have a set. I have one (1) 3.5" wide G-craft hoop and a new 120/70/10 Heidenau tire and tube mounted on it that will be pulled from my Monkey.

Polished aluminum... See attached. Polished Aluminum Hoop, Tube and new 120/70/10 Heidenau tire that's been mounted on the bike for 6 months but never moved under it's own power. The adapter (Black) and hub stay with the bike.
