ct70 wiring

i have a 1970 ct70 with a 125cc lifan motor. i've followed the wiring diagrams from dratv website on the conversion for that motor, but for some reason i seem to be going through stators left and right. i don't know what is making my stators burn, up i've checked and double checked.......... to see if i've missed something on the diagram. but to no avail, the stators burn up!! will someone please help!!!!

yeah make sure the ground is tight and doesn't wiggle i know just do it then make sure the pick up coil is gaped between the flywheel at like 18 thousands thats what fixed mine when it did the same thing.
