| ct90 wont start
My friend cant get his ct90 to start. He bought it a while back and it never ran very good. Then it died and wouldnt start. He put a new 20mm sheng wey on it. Size 70 main i think. It has spark. Seems to have compression. Hes been trying to get this thing running for almost a year now. He replaced the points also, and the fuel lines and battery. It doesnt even act like it wants to start. Any ideas?

If you have fuel and spark and it wont start then it prolly has low compression. The piston rings could be stuck too.I would dump some marval mystery oil down the cylinder and let it soak for a nite.

He put a new plug in it also. After kicking it over a couple hundred times, the plug still looks brand new. Shouldnt it look used even if the motor isnt starting? (assuming there is fuel and spark in the cylinder) Im starting to think there is no fuel making it to the cylinder. When i pull the hose off the carb, fuel comes out, so i know its getting that far. The size of the main jet doesnt affect starting the motor right? Should we do a compression test on it? What should it be? Thanks |
