Re: custom build parts?

It takes lots of $$$, lots of work, and lots of waiting for parts to come from japan.

Re: custom build parts?

just kidding what really meant is - those arent the answers i was looking for.

I am a machinist and I could build just about the entire bike where I work, the only problem is I'm not allowed (or if i get caught I get fired, and I can't afford that) GRRRRR

Re: custom build parts?

brad, drizz and i started with jincheng panda fun riders.
they came street plated. only thing left from most of ours are the frame and title. mine still has a knock off tank and wiring.

brad can hook you up with jdm parts. contact him via pm.

entry level imo is $2000

you can find used bone stock ones for sale from $500-$900

MUuuuahahaha!

I have infected another with the monkey bug.

To answer your question as to what manufactures parts I've used in this build here is a non complete list.

G Craft:
rim hoops, wheel spacers, hubs, triples, brake brackets, swingarm, swingarm mono shock mount, blinker stays, headlight ears, front disk spacer, fork brace, rear sets, seat, brake master resi's, offset counter sprocket.

OEM Honda:
front forks (Moded with HRC preload adjusters and some RJP racing secret sauce)
left bar controls
wiring harness

Braking USA:
front and rear wave rotors

Brembo:
Front and rear calipers
Front master

Nissin:
rear master

Coldfusion:
Oil catch system

Ohlins:
rear shock.

Daytona:
Handle bars, blinkers, rear sprocket.

Takegawa:
tail light
LCD speedo

Kitaco:
headlight bucket

The motor and exhuast were not questioned so i left all that out.

Most of what was home made for this project were small adapter plates for fitting issues cause by using a replica frame. IE fitting the G Craft rearsets with a Thai honda nice 110 motor on a panda frame, and the side plate/rear fender thing, as well as some mounting brackets for the inline oil filter and oil cooler setup.

Im sure the list is a lot longer but i cant remember everything off the top of my head
At the moment because of the rules of this forum i cant just go on to tell you about how to get it parts like these in a thread like this, but that may change here pretty soon.

Just about everything on the bike outside of the rearshock, motor, and frame did come direct from Japan though.

$2k should get you in if you make your own parts, but making them without ordering the real deal to copy sounds pretty unrealistic. You might as well save yourself time and money and build it with all chinese parts.

If you want it to looks like that and ride, build one for realsies first. Then, start copying stop and machining your own parts.

Just my $.02 I'm making some of my own stuff as well, but I'm picking what I want to build and not going all out and building every piece and part.

There are a few retailers out there. Save your money... if you're going to replace everything, why buy new and have to plate it yourself? You can find a bunch that are already plated.

Brad,

Can I ask what offset and size rear sprocket you are using, do you have a 4J rear wheel, could not find the correct size one for my low rider, so had to get one made by machining and welding two original sprockets together the powder coating.

Thanks

Victor
