| DAX 50cc ???
I came across a DAX a year or so ago it is like no other DAX I have ever seen. It has ape hanger style bars. Funky plastic front and rear fenders a seat that is kinda like a seat you would see on a bike with a sissy bar. It came as 4 speed 50cc manual clutch motor but has been converted to a 72cc It is white with the word DAX real big right along the frame. Like I said I have never seen one of these before someone told me that they were a rare special edition that only went to Honda dealers and it was never intended for sales in the US. Any help will be greatly apreciated. I will snap a few pics of it this week |

it kinda sounds like a knockoff but if you say its real, then im guessing they might have been cheap gifts to give to good dealers, but idk |

Sounds like a modded bike. Never heard of or seen a Dax in that configuration. I could be wrong though. They made Dax's in 50 and 70cc. (ST50/ST70). I had a guy at a Vintage meet try to pass off a Ct70 Christmas Special! He said it was sold along side the Z50R Xmas spl. The CT was obviously chromed recently including right over the rust and pitting on the swingarm! Decals looked like they were thrown on the bike.

Mike, Not a modded bike. Honda did indeed have a JDM Dax with a high-back seat and taller bars. It's a 1979 ST50M. Came in 50 or 70cc versions. Black with white Dax letters on the frame. See attached. |
