| Diy 88cc kit will this work
I have a 110 chinese clone engine out of a quad after doing some research the bore should be a 52mm so can i bolt the top end up to my z50 motor to get 88cc. Will i need to run a different piston because of the different stroke of the 2 motors. I will be using the head and everything of the quad motor. Wil l this work? will i need a different piston?

You most likely have a 69mm cylinder on that clone motor and the piston will have a different pin location.

ok if thats the case then the cases would need to be machined for the cylinder? Then who knows if piston could be found that would work. Sound like an 88 kit is a much better option. Is the head useable on an 88 bore kit and what cam would i want? I will measure it tonight tommorow when i actually have it in front of me and see what i come up with

if the cylinder or head is longer than you will need new studs and cam chain as well.

If the Z50 is using a 12v cdi, you could swap the crank, studs, cam chain, piston, and top end over from the import motor and give yourself a 107 setup. If you go that far, I'd suggest spending for a cam and high comp piston while you're playing.

This still looks promising havn't foun anythin on the bore or stroke on the kazuma 110 motor but did find the redcat wich is almost identical the bore 50 and the stroke is 53.5 which would make it hard to find a piston i think but might be able to bore it out to 52. Another site listed the kazuma as a 52 bore 41.5 this would make it only an 88 motor. I will see tommorow when i have it in front of me and can actually put a mic on it

Just bolt this onto your z50 motor and be done w/ it. As long as it is 1982 or newer. http://www.dratv.com/600026.html It fits, it works, it's cheap. |

if my cylinder is a 52mm cylander thats what I have along with a bigger vavle head. so if I take that and put in a high compression piston and and cam will have a pretty decent motor for cheap especially if i swap in the stroker crank

good news the cylinder is either a 51 or 52mm. the bad is that the cylinder is longer than the stock one so i will have to use the cam chain and studs too. So for the time being I'm just going to use the head on my 72cc cylinder then swap the crank and top end over to another honda motor with a high compression piston and cam with a big carb.
