| Ebay exhausts
I need a new exhaust for my 96 Z50R as I just installed a 110 Lifan. "I do not want to pay alot for this muffler!" (George Foreman meineke commercial) I want to keep it cheap and less than $80. Are any of the ebay exhausts okay? I don't want something too loud. Do all the xr70 pipes fit? It looks like the ones that are straight on the end (dual spring suspension) would fit. Can anyone recommend something that will work? As always, I searched.

Anything meant for a Z50R will fit. Very simple and I don't know why it is so overlooked to just put the stock one back on.

I just didn't want the new better breathing motor to have a restrictive stock exhaust. Will the ones that are advertised for the xr50, 70s work? Hooper told me that his Jackass exhaust 70 will work fine for my z50. It looks exactly like all the other xr50/70 ebay designs.

You may have fitment problems with any Z50 pipe, as the Lifan cylinder may be taller, moving the exhaust forward by a little bit. The mounting spot on the frame will be offset, you might have to make a small bracket to compensate for it. Any aftermarket pipe (Minigunz, Fast 50s, etc.) will work better for you, but you may have to resort to eBay to get a used one for $80.00. The CRF/XR pipes will NOT fit properly on your bike, as they are not designed to fit in between the right rear shock and the rear fender. You can mount one on the outside of the shock if you cut away the right side number plate from the rear fender assembly. |
