I am considering an epic ride once I get my z50 built, I can get it registered and insured here in Canada.

edit: that is if I can get it registered and insured.

Re: epic rides on a z50?

I've been thinking about doing that for a long time too. I almost think it would be cooler to do it on one that's as close to stock as possible, if you could find a route that was safe enough for the low top speed. Then you could really claim to be an eccentric: "I rode a hardtail Z50 from central Missouri to Denver, taking farm roads at a cruising speed of 20-25 mph the whole way!"

Now, once you got up to 5,000+ feet of elevation you might start running into some HP problems with 49cc...maybe St. Louis to somewhere that's sea level?

Re: epic rides on a z50?

my friend and i are planning a trip from here to a place called New Idria about 300 miles away in central California, im building 4 motors for the trip (1 for me 1 for my friend and 2 backups incase we break down and its beyond reparable) were going with 70cc motors and smaller rear sprokets. im going to be on a hard tail and he is going for a soft tail. were shooting for june or july, we have the route mostly planned out the only thing we need to do is build the motors / bikes.

were shooting for at least 45mph
