| Exhaust, Would it be possible to..
Get an exhaust like this EXHAUST PIPE HONDA XR50 CRF50 XR CRF 50 125CC PIT BIKES:eBay Motors (item 330286210912 end time Dec-07-09 18 25 PST)and cut the header down to fit the Z50R or is the routing too different on the CRF? Its hard to tell how the silencer attaches from the pics and i know someone on here has this very one.

i have the same pipe for my ct70. The angle is too high for the Z. You could bend the pipe as long as ou dont kink it.

a little kink in the bend wont really make a noticable difference in the performance......and being that it's only like $25 you can cut, weld, and fit it to fit without breaking the bank. I'm sure if you were to take it to a muffler shop really early in the morning, the person there would be able to make a few cuts and fit it properly for little next to nothing

I have a 1985 z50r with a zongshen 124 with that exact exhaust, it bolted right up to my motor which used to have the stock z50r exhaust on it. I don't think you would have any problems except for how long the head pipe is. With that pipe the muffler wont fit unless you cut the head pipe. Then it should fit, might be a tight squeeze but it should still fit. If you do decide to get that one you can get it from the same seller I got it from for 40 shipped. I got it with in a couple days of ordering it, but I am also only 1 state over from the seller. I have a friend that works in a muffler shop so minor bends are not a problem. Do you have a pic of it mounted up to your Zongshen? | |

| Re: Exhaust, Would it be possible to.. ![]() There it is on my bike, I haven't had the time to cut it yet, but with the way the pipe sits on my bike the end up the muffler should be to the inside of the shock and not directly on it. Also when the muffler slides on to the pipe you need a set screw to hold it in place. My package didn't come with one but I have more extra screws nuts and bolts than I count laying around the place. |

What intake is that on the Zongshen? I am still looking for one to fit my Lifan 125 on a Z50a. What carb do you run, and do you like it? Zeeman

Not meaning to hijack this. Is the diameter of the stock header pipe smaller than these? If the same, can the stock unit be modified to allow better flow? Smack me if this has been covered before. Driller |
