I just picked this bike up on ebay for 406.00. Do you think I got a pretty good deal. Would like help deciding to fully restore it or just turn into a cool modded Z. What do you guys think?

Restoring vs restomodding is a personal decision only you can make and it all depends on how much time and effort you want to put into the bike.

If I were to fully restore the bike I would definetly need help from people that know alot about these little gems. I don't know anything about them. Where as if I were to just do a custom build I could do whatever I wanted. I figure either way I would have a great deal of time invested.

If you fully restore it, most likely you'll have more in it then you'll get out of it and in stock form they are slow. Restomod it the way you want it, fit a budget that you can afford, and run the heck out of it.. |

I don't want to beat it either way. I have a lot of other bikes in the garage for that. I am thinking maybe a sweet custom build similar to this one someone put on here awhile ago. Not this exactly but something sweet like that though. Last edited by Crashkid; 09-07-2007 at 09:34 PM. | |

Are there any good Z sites to checkout to buy parts and accesories? Or is it just a search ebay type deal?

Looks like it is pretty complete. That is not a great price, but you didn't bend over either. Doing a full "restoration" can give you a lot of satisfaction, but on all of my bikes, I want to be able to ride them. If it is a museum piece, I wouldn't be riding it. Lots of custom stuff is available for these, you are only limited by your imagination and your pocket book. I would tend to lean towards some sort of neat custom that you can motor around on. |
