G-Craft triples part question

I'm still in the planning phase and trying to get parts figured out so I can order a NSR front end for my Z50 street frame.

Here's one place I'm getting hung up.

In this picture you can clearly see the stem kit (looks like G-Craft part #31156), but the part that's holding the bars is in front of the stem kit and nowhere to be found in the catalog. So does anyone know if it's a G-Craft one off, or is it available but just not in the catalog. I like that this set up moves the bars forward and would give me another inch or two on the controls.

Re: G-Craft triples part question

That would be a one-off piece made by the boys at Step 1, not G-craft. Step one is a large JDM dealer with some very talented mechanics who love to build custom Monkeybikes.

Dan, anything like that available on the market that would move the bars forward?

No idea as I've never looked into it. If you were to do something like that, you'd have to go custom on the lighting since it would get in the way of a normal headlamp assembly. Notice how the step 1 lighting is set up.

yep, I saw that. I guess I could get a bar clamps from a crf or other manufacturer and then fab up the bottom plate which would attach to the stem kit and bar clamp. Won't look as purdy though.

Re: G-Craft triples part question

ya, I much prefer the motorcycles to the bmx bikes. 15k is a good collection, but nothing compared to many of the guys in that scene. I've seen collection worth well over 100k, with warehouses full of parts that were part of their "collection". I kept two bikes that are really nice, but also riders. Forget that crap about collecting high-dollar items and putting them in a spare bed room or basement so only you can look at them. I like things I can use.

No idea what kind of left hand control that is. It's nice though. I hate it when companies show you products/things that you can't have. That's what Playboy is for.

And the same on my 2003 Monkey. Around $100 for the whole assembly. I run them on my 2003, my CT70, my Z50R Baja and my 1976 Z50A. I have the same controls in black on my ZB50.

If you can live with black (The clutch lever is a part of the assembly) talk to FastMC as he's got a bead on domestic units that are the same off of one of the newer Honda Scooters and are alot cheaper.

Back on topic...

Re: G-Craft triples part question

Sorry Dan...I was not mocking the price. The Haney Bro's have or had about the most awesome collection and most expensive BMX parts that any guy could ever imagine.

HondaZRider hooked me up with an NOS 1990 XL Control that fit perfectly.

I was at the local Honda dealer today, and looking at the control switches on a new Honda Metropolitan scooter, which appear to be nearly the same as the silver ones on the bike in this thread.

I checked at service Honda and to get both sides, plus the throttle tube (no levers, just the clamps, screws and the tube would run you about $71 from Service Honda. Not bad for some nice, OEM quality controls. I don't have a picture, but they certainly look pretty similar to the ones on that bike.
