| gear problems please help i need bike going today!
my 3 speed semiauto is playing up, it was all running fine, till last night, i went out riding, and when i got back into the shed and when its in first gear and idling, the bike is lunging forward and stalls it self some times! it always used to just sit there and idle whilst in gear, but now it keeps trying to move forward, than if you let it keep doing it, after about 5-10seconds it will stall itself (the same feeling as if you let the clutch out on a manual bike and stall it) any ideas?????? ive try adjusting the clutch of all times it playing up when i need the bike tonight |

It sounds like your springs are wore out, HD sprigs will fix that

i adjusted it to what the manual says, 1 turn clockwise, than counter clockwise till hit resistance, that back it off 1/8 - 1/4 turn, is 1200km alot for clutch springs??? would have thought they would last more than that? what kinda job is replacing the springs?? DIY possible? |

well heres the story........ if i turn the clutch adjusting screw like this: 1 turn clockwise, than turn it counter clockwise until i hit that resistance spot, BUT instead of turning it CLOCKWISE 1/4 turn (like the manual says), i turn it a full turn INTO THE RESISTANCE SECTION, the problem is getting better, so does anyone know what this is indicating????? |
