| got my new motor installed
picked up a zonger 120 from a member on here and based on my first impressions I like it. THe clutch and shifting are silkly smooth and the power is nice. I just threw it together and haven't been able to take it on any main roads yet but I have a nice ride planned for tommorow. I will post some pics of my ct when I snap them.

does someone know what gearing I should go to lower my rpm while cruising in 4th. Right now the bike probably tops out around 52-55mph(guestimate) since my speedo only goes to 50 and it pretty much stops pulling hard once it hits 50 then tapers off . Right now I have a 16t and 37 rear sprocket on the bike. I had to put some spacers to lower the pegmount about a 3/8" so it could clear the clutch cover. Also does anybody make stiffer springs for the older 1970 style forks?

Start w/ the 17 front since it is cheap. That will gain you 3-5mph. My gpx isn't much faster than that. I run a 17/37 combo w/ a TT91 rear.

i got no idea about gearing i havent had the money to go experimenting but about your fork springs, theres quite a few companies that make them, you just want crf50 ones, they work fine, they're an inch or so longer than the stock ones so itll bring your front up a little but they're much stiffer. some after market bushing wont hurt either, they will get rid of that slop. i installed some tbr xr50 springs on mine and they're perfect |

I thought I had 16 but checked it out today and it's 15 tooth. I bought a knockoff pipe off someone and the thing works great, actually fits the bike like it was made for the ct and tucks in out of the way. I just need to fab a braket to attach the pipe to the shock tower bolt. So far I have put 60 miles on the bike since I have installed the motor without any problems. I tried using the left hand brake as my clutch lever but it doesn't have an adjustment and didn't work. So I then busted out my grinder and cut it off and put my own perch/lever on. I just have to say the clutch mounted on the primary is nice since neutral is hard to find with the motor hot sometimes.
