by a motorcycle cop, I was at a signal and he told me to pull over. So I pulled over when the signal turned green. He couldn't believe my bike was street legal. I gave him my insurance, license, and registration. He stated my bike doesn't have signal, or mirrors. I told him they didn't come with them, just like an older car that never came with seat belts. He then pulled out a camera, took pictures, wrote down my info and said he was going to do some research. I said that's good and to post pictures of my bike at his station to let everyone know my bike is good so I don't get harassed again. LOL

Do you guys get bugged by the cops?

I got hassled once. Went to go check out the Gumball 3000 and a cop saw me ride up to the stop sign. Here's how the conversation went:

: Hey! Get that **** off the street right now!!!

: Huh? Me?

: You heard me, right now!

: But officer, it's plated and insured....

Kane, on the Minigunz ride (Labor Day weekend) we didn't see too many cops. And I think the one we saw didn't think anything of our 14 bike gang. You comin' to the next Minigunz ride in October? What do you ride?

We met up at the Minigunz shop in Walnut.

I got pulled over by a cop while on my CL70 and the cop didn't believe it was legal...but after he ran the plates, I was off again. Then he ran my CT70 just to make sure as my buddy was riding it.

That is my only experience with cops so far.

This summer a cop asked me." why are you riding a kids motorcycle?".

She was directing traffic and stopped me for no reason. I told her it was plated and insured and she let me go.

I've been followed for a quarter mile, guy must have been running my plates. I've seen cops cruising in the opposite direction but other than that I've never been bothered before. Always get a lot of thumbs up and laughs from people. More looks than when I drive my old chevelle. lol

Cops dont even blink at me in San Francisco, must be the plethora of scooters and mopeds we have here.

When i lived in the So Bay Area i could not even pass a cop with out having him come after me for a paperwork check.

i guess cops in MA have better things to worry about cuz i have never got pulled over with the plated bike. but i have had cops come over to me and ask me how i got it plated and how fast it goes. that usually leads to a long conversation about a bunch of other bike subjects.
I did get pulled over once before i got it plated it had the moped sticker on it. i took a corner going kinda fast and he was stoped at a stop sign. when i pulled over i asked him what i did wrong and he said i ran a stop sign. to which i said you hade th stop sign not me and pointed back at the intersection. he looked back and said "oh well you scared the sh*** out of me coming around the corner so fast." i said "oh sorry" and he said just "slow down and stay safe."

here in dallas its under 50cc is considered a bicycle, so all you have to have is front and rear reflectors and be wearing a helmet. you dont have to have any tags inspection or insurance and you can ride them on the streets and bike trails.you cant ride on a street posted over 35 mph.
some cities here make you stay on the sidewalk and off the streets.
we just wave as the cops pass us by.

cops around here are chill cause everyone has CT's, we also have the under 50cc law it's ok to ride without plates or reg. Just have to have a valid drivers license.
