My Mood: | GPX 125...Lifan 125 or BB Honda St70 Motor ?.
Hello, I am looking at doing a Dax atm. Being A white lady Dax, it will get the full NOS or OEM treatment with some minor mods like chrome rims and hubs & Whitewalls. I want to slightly customise it though as it will be a slow thing on the road...in my opinion, so I was thinking of putting a Takky Bomber exhaust on it with either a GPX 125 or Lifan 125 set up and a 6 to 12 volt rectifier or vica versa. I can pull these mods off very easily and re install the stock stuff if need be....I figure whilst also covering my bases if I need a motor for a future dax lowrider project. I am deliberating as to which of the two to get. The GPX 125 looks more aggressive but has more power but the Lifan 125 looks more bland and is alot cheaper to buy. Also, the GPX 125 can go out to a 160 etc etc. I like the GPX 160 but I gather it needs a cooler whereas in Aus, we have run the GPX 125, Lifan 125 and Lifan 140's with no coolers.....I don't want oil cooler stuff hanging on the white lady. The other option is to go Honda....more $$$ though. I have already done 85 and 88 kits in my mini bikes which are good but I wanted something different and more torque etc. 106 scut is the next option but at triple the price of a chinese motor. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated Thankyou Pat |

Crickets Was thinking of buying a 6 volt rectifier and sub harness from DRATV so as to run a 12 volt chinga in a 6 volt Dax set up. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Pat |

Well welcome first off. You should post up some pictures of your bike so everyone can see what it looks like. Also the chinese motor question has been asked a million times, thats probably why you are not getting too much information coming back. Do a search as there is a ton of information about your question already posted in many other posts.
