Graduation Z50

So my youngest graduated high school last friday...I was checking craigslist friday afternoon and found a 1981 Z50 only 15 minutes from me...I didn't really have a gift yet, so I went and bought it....stuffed it in my van without even starting it and hid it (the seller says "it runs, but its kinda hard to start")...we already have 8 minis, so I knew we could have it running without too much work.

I waited till the boys were having fun at the party, then gathered up all the kids and did the presentation of it...it was too funny...no one even knew about it....

Luckily it started up, and he gave it a spin around the yard....

It was only $250

We worked on it Saturday morning, and found it would run if you kept it revvved up...after a few carb changes, and plug change and tons of other things....we discovered the two wires from the points which plug into a connector were severly corroded...a little cleaning and poof....it runs like a champ

CONGRATS TO ALL GRADUATES....YOUNG AND OLD

Run a magnet across the cylinder, it looks to be aluminum, might be a big bore kit on it...
