How do you trigger the green lights on your mini?

I had a hard time triggering green lights on my Ducati and am having an even harder time with my z50 clone. How do you guys manage to get the green light when you are at the light? Any tips? I hate being stuck at the light with my mini. Im in Arizona so I hate idleing in 108* weather.

We have crosswalk buttons and I pull to the side of the lane and hit those. I learned it from reynolds_brad.

I can do that. I was under the impression that you would walk your bike across the street and then take off from there.

I bet it is just a magnet. The lights use loop detectors under the pavement.

I have this little magnet bar under my scooter used for triggering the green. I got it from my local Honda shop and I was told that its what cops use on their motorcycles but its illegal in CA to the public because it damages the circles. I still run it anyway cus there's not a snowball's chance in hell that it can bee seen.

Re: How do you trigger the green lights on your mini?

I just make right turns on red then take the next u-turn. If you say that's a waste of time, well, I'm riding my mini and you're just sitting there idling. Sometimes though, I end up tripping the light by accident. I don't know how I do it but then I just take the left.

I just get into the center of the lane and put the kickstand down.

Works everytime.

You just have to remember to put it back up before you take off.

Re: How do you trigger the green lights on your mini?

My mini triggers most of the detection loops but not all
If it is a busy street i wait until a car pulls up behind me (after i advance over the white stripe) If it is quiet and i am sure the loop did not detect me, i have a good look around and pull up.
