Hub Polish Job

I polished the hubs on my 82, They were looking a little rough.
3 stage process kit, one more stage to go. Happy with the results so far.
Did most of it with an air powered drill.

Please feel free to notify me when you have completed polishing the rear hub, as well, and I'll be sure to send you my hubs +$2.00 in trade, along with $1.25 for shipping...

Just to sweeten the deal, I'll even throw in an OEM Honda sticker...

Nice job, t, looks real good....

Great job tmas! You said that you used an air powered drill. If you have an air DA sander, you can sand them first to remove the deep pits and then do your 3 step polish to get the sanding scratches out. You'll end up with something like this...

That kit looks similar to what I use, but it is for a buffer instead of a drill like tmas is talking about.

Here's a link to the company where I get all my supplies. They have links on the top right of the page for international customers as well.

It was late August when I polished all my parts, but I think I finished both hubs, backing plates, and stator cover in a day (8-10 hours). Z parts are so small and odd-shaped that it takes time to get into all the curves and indentations.

Thanks for the link! It seems they charge a premium on the Canadian priced kits But they do have a nice chrome polishing kit as well. Hmmm.

tmas , make sure to put some good aluminum protector/polish on after or you'll end up with water spots all over them as soon as they get wet and dry.

Has anyone tried a clear powdercoat? I'm interested in doing this to my hubs but I don't want to rub on them much after I am finished.

dayj1..... Thanks for the sanding tip... off to step 3 soon to bring most of the light scratches out. I then hope, they look as nice as yours.

I took a air sander to the hubs and finished with fine emery cloth to remove most the deep pitting and scratches. Now to step 3. Hope you can see differences in pics.
