I bought it last week and have been riding it everyday. I need it to go faster, alot faster. do i start with an 88 kit or save up and buy a gpx motor( if it would fit). what bar clamps do i run? where can i find supermoto slicks? if i buy the basic 88 kit with piston and cylinder what else will i need? will the tunning be hard? will a crf big bore kit work? thanks for all help and if you have any parts i have money to buy them

You have a lot of options when it comes to motors. If your goal is to go fast then you should look into a GPX motor. They drop right in to a z50 frame. If you go that route then you have to look at upgrading your suspension too. The 88 kits are great too. You would need a carb kit and a HV oil pump. Im not sure who sells slicks. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Any motor should mount up. Some may have issues with the front tire hitting the head. I personally would choose the 88 bore kit. It's reliable, can make more power, and parts are easy to find and cheap. Reliability is close to that of the stock Honda if you get the TB kits. See link at bottom for what you need. I bought KT-903 tires for my Z. They are not slicks but a mild scooter tire. I am very satisfied with them. Honda Trail Bikes KT-903 mounted on the back of the bike on the left. |

Fast50's complete bar kit. Soup to nutz. TB Race Head 88 Kit. Complete. Carb and all the stuff. Minigunz.com pipe Tires. Heidenau 3.50-8 Front 4.00-8 rear. This is the ticket. Pick some 3.5" G-Craft alum rims & Fast50's HD fork springs/Delron bushings & good rear shocks if you want it to real handle better |

Shocked the boyz from Motoshop Z didn't charge in behind me with that lead in! Well Monkeybike UK.com Or MotoshopZ can hook you up. Excellent wheels on a Z50. I have used them on Z's from 1969 to 99. Get the 3.50 0r 3.75 wide ones. Will fill the forks and swinger real nice. Gives those Carlisles a nice footprint. Guys are amazed at the difference a set of tires & wheels make. You can throw the front end in and it sticks, the rear digs with vengance. Love roost'n guys with those 8"r's on my 146cc Z50R. 10" wheels my ass! Z's rule. |

Wear is correct, I'm close to 8K on mine and not finished yet. It's absolutely crazy, but you do get what you pay for when buying JDM stuff. The sickness continues! Ask Dan at motoshop Z, he can hook you up. |
