Re: i want these bikess

these things are eye candy to look at... but they are the definition of useless.

one the other hand, a midget would be big pimpin' with one of these!

Not knocking the monkey guys... i know they are at a higher level than the rest of us. But where the hell do you ride these? Are they just conversation pieces? Parking lot pimpin'? Take them to the drag strip and run the 1/4 mile? I dont really see the point other than taking the smallest possibly street legal bike ever produced and making it look badass.

The silver bike with the billet frame looks rideable, but the whole rear set/drag bars... i dont get it?

While I can't speak for others, all of my minis are street legal and I ride the heck out of all of them all over the place. They all keep up with traffic and one of my current projects could probably take the interstate when Brad comes to visit so I can film it

Believe it or not, I get more people stopping me (non-police) then I ever did with my classic cars and trucks. People eat this stuff up. Of course, everyone that stops me told me they had a honda just like it when they were a kid

Picture being able to ride a mini anywhere with no threats from neighbors or police and can go whereever you want.

Wow what a incorrect assumption. I ride my ZB and monkey to meets, coffee shops and all around San Francisco on the weekends. people freak out over just the site of monkey on the streets. I get asked at just about every stop light about the bike. People cant believe the the sound it makes and how fast it is for being so little.

Its not just a conversation piece its a hell of a good time to ride. Only down side to riding a high dollar monkey in the city is you really cant walk away from the bike. Only time i ever do is to take a picture.

Heck i even took the ZB to the bar with me once. I wasn't going to go but my friends convinced me that they would just let me bring it inside and they did. Rolled it right through the front of the legendary SF biker bar Zitgiest and out on to the back patio. No way they would let anyone do that with any other bike. Now I call that very useful.

Re: i want these bikess

can you guys post pictures of you riding the decked out street legal Z's? I could understand the ZB as it just seems like a bigger machine.

I couldn't imagine running around town on something with 10 (or inch wheels and not fearing for your life.

i roll around with my 10" monkey bike with a stock head 88 and it still is fun. it's all street cruising and nothing too fast. the zb may look a lot bigger but it really isn't. it's only a little bigger than a z50 and smaller than a ysr50.

even went out with slowracer and his bro for a street ride. 35-40 max... it's all good as long as you're aware of your surroundings. it'll soon change with when i get my 124 superhead installed and running. i'll be rolling and keeping up with traffic no problem.

Re: i want these bikess

I would VERY MUCH like to have one of those bikes.Z,I am considering making my XR50 street legal.I too think it would be the coolest thing on earth to ride my mini all over the place.I'm pretty sure I'd get the same thing,as far as people being all over me with questions. At the same time,I really want to get a motard "big bike".A Husqvarna SMR 450 or 510,or a Suzuki DRZ400SM.

Re: i want these bikess

I've had my street bike license for 34 years and owned and ridden everything from Honda 350's to cruisers to many sportbikes including a Blackbird. It definately feels strange to ride one of these tiny things in traffic, but at the same time it's hella fun !!! I get stopped and questioned so many times on my CT. People love it, and are amazed when you tell them how fast it goes or pass them. It's a blast on back road twisties. And doing wheelies is fun on anything. Try it you will like it.
