| Initial cam chain tension
I'm rebuilding a z50r motor with manual cam chain tensioner. There's plenty of information out there about adjusting the tension on an already assembled and running motor, but how should I set up the two adjustment screws as I button this motor up?

Screw in the bottom screw an arbitrary number of turns making sure it doesn't bottom out but the chain is tensioned, then tighten the adjustment bolt and lock nut near the shift shaft. Once the motor is running, adjust it like the manual says.
