get a set of 330mm shocks and grind the mounts down till it fits bolt up and have fun,No if only you used the search function you would find the brand of shocks too get the lenght and hell where too get them but instead you are waiting on other people too do the leg work for you,

I have my swingarm roughly mounted, still raw. I was going to use some 12.5" Showas off Ebay, but the local Monkey specialist (Z88r) suggested that they were about 1 cm to long with the +4" swingarm, so the closest is a 305mm shock set, not 330mm. If your gonna be using it for dirt, then maybe you might want to use a 330mm shock. Classic Honda (CHPUSA.NET) has a few options. Now, Monkeybike_mike used the exact same swinger with CT70 wheels and he said the wheel aligned pretty dead on. Im using a Z50 wheel, so it may not be perfect, might need to shim the wheel to one side, but I didn't check yet with any tools. |

No, I used a swingarm from an XR75. I built my Z just as the guy did that sold his bike on ebay. I got the instructions from him . I used shocks from a CR80 Elsinore. I also modified the swing arm so I could adjust my ride height. ![]() If somebody wants it I'll sell you the rolling chassis w/ HMF pipe and wiring harness for $400 plus shipping includes another CT70 wheel. |

Yea you need a 420 size chain with a 120 link. Factorymotorsports.net has a nice gold RK chain for a good price.

The swingarm doesn't raise the bike , the shocks mounted to the swingarm make the difference.

I think the 305mm shocks will keep the bike level or close to level with stock forks and springs. Ill have to get back to you soon about that, my Takegawa 305mm's are currently en route. If they are not level purchase some +1" springs (and if need be chromo +1" legs), if they are level, then purchase some HD BBR springs. There are 330mm shcoks available, 350mm is pretty long. |
