| k1 fork options
i am building a hard tail for my self, and i have no desire for it to look stock. It will be used mainly on the street or yard, probally with a lifan 125 4 speed manual. I want to run regular bars, but how do i hook them to the old forks? or do i just get a whole fork assy off a newer z50? i have a qa50 front end, and i like those bars, will the internals from a z50 fit in the qa50 fork? also, what break lever mount do i need for the front brakes, again, just one off a newer z?

? is, are using a headlight. If not, buy Fast50's Z50 handlebar kit. Bolts right on the older Z's. Bmx style mount, billet throttle w/ brake perch, etc.. Everything you need. I use them all the time on builds. Excellent quality. With stock K1 headlight, to use the Fast50's kit you will need to mod your headlight mount or remove the headlight ears from the forks and mount aftermarket headlight brackets & headlight. I have done both. The latter works out much better. Wide choice of headlights to pick from then. A 79-99 fork assembly will not work on a K0-K2 hardtail. You are stuck with those forks. A handlebar mount from those years will match up to the forks though. You will need the top plate and bar clamps and bars. |

Once again Fast50's. I have found their HD springs and delron bushings are great in a z50. Have used them in hardtails and softtails. Major improvement. I am not a dealer for them, just like their products because they quality items and work well. And great people to deal with too!
