| KLX110 based street scoot?
I know this might belong in the mid-size mini section, but the peeps on here are much more knowledgable about street minis. Has anyone built a KLX110 based street mini, or put a KLX110 motor into a z50 or ct70? This may be a stupid question, but there's no denying that a 178cc kit motor with head and it's resulting 20hp would be great fun. Anyone do it, or think of it? It appears to be so much cheaper to get a much bigger displacement motor and more hp out of a 110. |

You could A. try to track down a ksr110 or B. build a scut top end on the yx150 engine and bolt it right into any honda type mini.

Why should you try to put a complete a complete klx110 engine in, there are china engines with klx-like topends which will fit right in. They can be tuned too: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBfwWy6QeMY]YouTube - MSR Monster 220 + R in a Monkey PBR[/ame] |

I've seen those 110 based China motors, but is the displacement difference in the bore or the stroke? What I mean to say is, are they based off of a Honda 50 bottom end with a huge piston, or is it pretty much a 110 based motor with a Honda mounting pattern? Do those motors accept all of the 100 motor hop-up parts?
