Ko hardtail suggestions??? tank?? seat??

ok, so beyond my good judgement, i bought a ko for my g/f to ride around one...lol..good excuse huh???..lol...well, the thing is in major need of restoration, i was going to rebuild the motor first w/ all my old motor parts that i had left over from my 02 motor...next, it will have to have new paint all around , new seat etc...where do you guys get k0 tanks??, i found the seat, but no luck w/. the tanks...next, do you guys know if the z50 fast 50's bar kit will fit on these things?? it seems like it would be cheaper and better to go that route than to try to rebuild these...also, what should one of these things go for?? i paid 200 and kinda think i got took, but oh well...it seems like it will be fun to rebuild...it's complete, but kinda in bad shape??

A Z50 K0 with no headlamp or taillight from the factory? Fully restored they are worth about $3500 and are the most valuable Z50 out there, especially if you have an early slantguard model.

Post up some pics. $200 is a steal for one of those.

One more quick note. You don't have the right seat for your bike. The K0 seats had 7 pleats and are longer then the seats still available for the K1 and K2. Stator covers were different, fenders were different, no key with an off-on toggle switch.

Do me a favor and anger the purists and restomod the heck out of it. However, if you stuck it on ebay as is, you'd have a return on your investment..

Classic Honda has the tanks. Trailbikes has the fenders, seat, keyswitch and wiring harness.

www.hondanuts.com has the rear taillamp bracket

The headlamps are obsolete and it's an ebay item. Nice ones go for about what you paid for the entire bike..

In regards to the tanks, if you want to drop some bank, I can get hand-crafted polished aluminum tanks for the K1's and K2's as well. I bought one for my K6 (different shape, but some manufacturer)...

Purdy..

What's the serial numbers on the engine? The stator covers with the access plates are from a CT70. If you have a Z50 engine, it will be a Z50AE and if you have a CT70 motor, it will have a CT70E serial number.

post up the serial number on the frame and it will tell the story, and cross it over to the reference guide I posted. And a picture will go along way as well..

ya, i think it's a k1...so you still think it was an ok buy?? and i plan on doing a restomod anyways...i was going to get the tank painted and worked, chrome fenders, street tires, and if the fast 50's bars fit, those as well...

Ask Razzomoto about the bar kits. I don't mess with the hardtails as they are hard on the tail. I'll let you know about the buy after I see the pictures. You are missing the expensive parts (lighting) and tank. Get one of classic's tanks, or watch ebay as there is a seller overseas who sells them pretty cheap. Except for the headlamp, all the parts are still available for the most part.

Cool Fast50's Bar Kits

Yes they will fit a Z50. 1968, will not fit 69-71 - headlight issues, will fit 72-99. On the 72-78 just clears headlight by a hair.
