Let's See 'Em!

Let's see all of the old classic bikes. No XR/CRF50s. Only the old classics.

Here is my latest project.

It’s a 71 K2 Z50A this is my pit bike to cruise around just out at the track or around the shop to shoot down the road to get some taco's. This is what I have done

Striped and sand blasted the frame and forks and had them powder coated by my friend Rick at Pro Coat next I had some friends at Tag ( the guys who do all the pro's helmets like RC and Bubba) spray a serious paint job on the tank it turned out sick so i installed some OEM badges next I sand blasted the seat base and bought seat foam and a cover from Dratv next I added some front forks off one of my old RCM70 mini cross bikes then installed some + 1 springs next I polished out my stock triples ( they look decent for there age) next I added some OEM Honda fenders I got from TB (they are K1 style because I hate the ugly long rear fender on the K2's) next I added a new set rims off my old RCM70 mini cross (they are not OEM but I like them for a pit bike set up) next I put on some Chinese bars with out the perches since I will have a billet throttle and a clutch (this is the reason I like K2's they have a rear brake pedal so you can run a clutch) next I got some Carlisle Snow Hog tires (huge knobbys) next I got a RCM 86cc motor 4 speed all up shift pattern 3 disc manual clutch with a E22 head that is getting ported and a Crower G2 cam is being installed with heavy duty clutch springs. next I have a Takagawa Billet oil cooler, a TB race CDI (blue) Kitaco hot coil, Takagawa dip stick (blue), skunk werks dress up kit (blue)(you know for visible Hp LOL) I have 54mm Kitaco SE crank and piston (at first I will use a TB 54mm HC piston until I machine the lightened SE piston) I have 2 carbs either a 26mm VM or a 24mm flat slide (most likely I will use the 26mm) it comes with a Takagawa intake next a terry cable mini crosser throttle (blue) a takagawa tappet cover head vent (blue) RCM chrome moly peg stays with a custom aluminum kick stand. blue anodized bolt kit to dress up the motor (more visible Hp LOL) R&L race pipe that weaves threw the frame (super sick) RCM skid plate. RCM pegs, ect...

This is just one of my projects the K2 in the picture the beat the death one. is slated to be restored to completely original Honda condition down to all the nuts and bolts. Yes I could of started with a cleaner bike but I have tons of parts to restore her. I also have a 75 DAX50 on the way along with (yah I know this forum is for 4 strokes but this thing is sick) a Mini Mini Indian 50cc race bike with what it appears to be a DG pipe. It will be sick once its done smallest production mini from what I know.

I hope once this is done I can get it on a dyno to see what it does.

Since this is a half breed I posted it in both the Z50 threads and the Chinese/import

Oh by the way the beater in the picture is the next bike I doing the one that is being built in a even a worse state I mean it was really bad.

Well, here is what my bike looked like about a year ago after putting in a 51mm jug and 18mm carb:

And the other side:

A few things have changed since that - yes the CHP sticker was removed :P, 34T rear and 16T front sprocket added.

This is the bike now in its current state:

It was torn down to put a new lightly ported E22 head in, 22mm carb, port matched intake, cleaned up the bearings and front springs. Let me tell you, 30+ yr old grease is VERY sticky. damn. It's awaiting new suspension all around, new tires, and new exhaust, along with other little tidbits.

I just realized I started a thread about posting pictures but didn't post any up myself. Shows how smart I am. So here is my 1984 Z50R. It has the internals of an '84 model ('84 engine and frame) but the cosmetics are based on the 1980 model. I like the black seat and shocks and the red plates. I know the front plate is yellow, I just haven't gotten a Tahitian Red one yet.

Look! The lower chain guide isn't missing!

Christmas day 2004.

WTF is up with that color scheme? Time to lay off the rubber cement vince.
