Lifan 110cc engine - shift lever

I finally got around to installing the 110cc lifan into the Ct 70 this weekend.

The only trouble that I ran into was the shift lever. The engine case on the left side of the engine stick out so far that when installed you can't lift the lever up (it hits the bottom/side of the engine case).

I know there are many levers out there. Has anyone had this problem?

It would have to be an off set lever with bolt entry from the side or bottom to fit (can't get it in from the top - engine in the way).

Any suggestions on the proper lever.

Thanks!

pull the lever off and install it so its angled down a little bit further, usually with the china motors youll beed wider footpeg mount, new shift and sometimes new brake levers.

Lifans shift shafts are shorter than Honda. You need a Kitaco offset shifter.

OR replace the shift shaft with a Honda one. Simple job. Problem solved.
