| Look what came in the mail today
I am riding my bike (human powered bike) back from school and then I remember my package is arriving today. So I speed up so I can open up my box with $250 worth of Z50R parts. No my parents didn't help pay for it and yes I'm only 13. This is going to be real cool when it's mounted. You probably guessed but the number plate will replace the yellow one. I just wanted them to all match. ![]() There was one weird thing, however. Is there a set of levers included with the manual clutch? The description said there was not. I bought one set of levers but recieved two sets. I still have to double check to make sure I did not buy two. Hopefully I can get all As and Bs on my next report card so that I can ride and wrench. D-mn! I really miss riding this awesome bike(non-human powered). ![]() ![]() ![]() Doesn't this look like a Z50R advertisement? |

Yes, I can cross it. It's not a river but it does lead directly into the Potomac River. It's only about 4-5 inches deep unless it rains.

qwoke that's cool. There's nothing like a box of new parts on the doorstep to make you hurry home! What exactly did you get? You can't ride the z50 now because of bad grades? |

I bought a manual clutch kit, levers, the clutch nut socket, and a number plate.

For $45 more you could have a brand new Loncin 125cc engine with a 4 speed manual clutch and everything needed to install it in your z50r. Maybe you weren't interested in changing the stock engine?

But most of the fun is doing it yourself. Next time you should leave the helmet and backpack out of the picture then frame and hang it in your room. That is a real nice picture and looks like a great place to ride. And you should always do good in school, I know you have heard this a million times but in 15 years you will know what i am saying | |

Realize that some people take pride in a Honda and want to keep it as close to stock as possible and don't want the bike to be a hybrid Honda/Chinese bike. I personally would never put an import motor in a Honda even if it produces 300X the power of a stock motor.

I wasn't trying to crap on his project... just offering an alternative. I think he's doing a great job fixing his mini up. I wish someone had told me about these $295 124cc engines before I dumped $460 into my zb engine. |

No. As z88r said, I would never buy a non-Honda engine. In fact I probably wouldn't buy a Honda engine either. I would probably just fix this engine so I could keep the engine in the frame it belongs to. And where's the fun in swapping out a motor? Installing a clutch is so much more fun. Thanks for the compliments people. That is one of my favorite riding areas. I have never seen another person on it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I was concentrated more on taking pictures of my bike so there is only one picture without the Z in it. |

Here's another place I used to ride at. That's my dad's bike, but I was riding it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The problem was that the neighbors could see me. So now I ride in the middle of the forest. The O is where I live and the X is where I ride and where the pictures were taken from (the pictures with the 1984 Z). I can ride from home to the riding area by following the red line. By following the green line, I can get to a huge field and ride at full speed in a big square. Cops have seen me going into the woods and they don't care. From where I ride, you can see only trees. I have so much area to the north to ride that I have not explored. Don't worry, I will. The river you see at the top of the picture is the Potomac River. |
