You could also get one of setups off of one of the clone pitbull types - around $35 complete with lever, etc. The Honda will be better quality, but you will spend a bit more with the lever, grips, etc, added in. The 2007 Honda Metropolitan looks very close to that. Go to a Honda shop and look at one and see if that is what you are looking for. |

Honda NC50 Express "no-peds" had combined switchgear and perch like that. Maybe someone near you has one being parted out on Craigslist. I know a guy in St. Louis with 3 or 4 NC50 parts bikes; if you get really hard up and want to go used, let me know and I'll try to reach him and see what he'd want for the controls off one.

EDIT just bought it looking at the one up top and the on ebay if you looke at the right side the bevel or curve where it steps down on to the bar are the same. if not hey i got parts to sell or keep. No, different guy. PM me if you're still looking for a bar; I might see either or both of those guys in the next couple of weeks...

Just grind them off. You only need the switches right?

My Mood: | Re: looking for this part good idea, but i thought about my self i don't want to get to carried away i want this bike to keep it's character/stock appeal if you will and small detail like that count one of the reasons why i'm getting an up pipe too.i asked if i could cancel the order if not i just might consider grinding it off though i don't want too, they will still be pretty sweet on there. btw the second set i purchased is for both sides and on my bike the perch is welded on, on one side. for those who didn't see my fbomb post before it got deletafied. |
