| making my z50 a little more comfortable
at 37, some would say i'm too big for my z50, but i still like it. However, I would like to make it a little more comfortable to ride. I'm thinking that a new set of handlebars might make it more comfortable and a little safer. I feel like the fold down bars sit too low and position your hands too close together. How much better are the bars I'm describing vs. the original bars that came on the bike. Also, I'd like to put a newer style throttle on it that has the screw adjustment so that you can slow it down for kids. anyone done this? |

on my 95 z50 i have the fast 50's bar set up, top clamp moves the bar mount forward, bmx bars are taller and billet throttle housing but i dont think it has the limiting screw. on my 82 z50 i used the stock top plate, xr70 bar clamps, bmx bars with stock throttle. both work just depends on how much you want to spend.

Here's mine with big bars and the fast 50's clamp. More cockpit room. |
