ok i so i have a nice little stock 1982 z 50 just looking to get this thing working a bit better but am on a budget at the time being. i am thinking an 18 mm carb with the proper intake for a total of around $80 will that make the bike really come alive? or is their a cheaper alternative? does anyone have any cheap tricks or ideas to make my bike really open up?

Make it come alive?....no. 17mm carb, air filter, perf. pipe, lightened flywheel. That will for a start. A carb alone won't do much.

If its gonna eat, its gotta fart. Little bit a somethin there.
